Black Torro is a rock band from Hamburg, founded in 2006 .

Band history

In the late summer of 2006, Niels and Jan met in search of a new challenge that should be more than a short-lived project. The first song structures were created quickly and the next step was to complete the band. Several rehearsals followed with different singers and bassists until the band found their first permanent line-up in 2007 with Marco Bröckel (formerly "Absence of Malice") and Kai Lehn (formerly "Ayur Veda").

In mid-2008 work began on the first demo CD in the Ei-Key Studio in Hamburg. After the end of the recordings, singer Marco separated in December 2008. Shortly afterwards, they found an expressive singer in Mikko Vetter (formerly a drummer for “Aussenborder”) who sang the EP again.

After the release of the demo and a large number of concerts, the band signed a recording contract with Abandon Records in 2009, where u. a. also 7 Days Awake had already released albums.

In early 2010, work began on the first studio album. For this purpose the band works with Florian Sommer (tape, 4Lyn), the album was mixed again by Eike Freese in the Hammer Studios in Hamburg. While working on the studio album there was a change in line-up on bass and Malte Burkert joined Black Torro. After the single "In My Young Days" was available in stores at the end of 2010, the album with the band name followed on May 6, 2011.
