Blake Island is a 2.5 km long, narrow and ice-free island off the northwest coast of the Trinity Peninsula at the northern end of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located in Bone Bay and is the largest island in Islotes Laura .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey mapped the island in 1948. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1959 after the British sailor Pattrick John Blake (1798-1884), midshipman on the brig Williams during their exploration of the South Shetland Islands and the Bransfield Strait in 1820.
