history

"Notifications of the Styrian Fire Brigade Gauverband" from 1886

The magazine is the oldest, regularly appearing print medium in Styria. It first appeared in 1886 under the name “Mittheilungen des Styrian Fire Brigade Gauverband”.

The name of the magazine has changed several times in history: "Mittheilungen des Steirischen Landes-Feuerwehr-Verband" (1888 to 1936), "Magazine for the fire and rescue services in Styria" (1937 to 1938), "Ostmärkische Feuerwehrfachzeitschrift" ( 1939), "Steirische Feuerwehr-Nachrichten" (1952 to 1958) and "Steirisches Feuerwehrblatt" (1959 to 1981). It has been called "Blaulicht" since 1981.

Blaulicht has also been available online as an online version since 1998. Originally the online edition was integrated into the homepage of the LFV Steiermark, since 1999 Blaulicht-online has been available as a separate homepage. The aim was to provide the fire brigade members with technical articles on the various topics of the fire brigade . In the archive of the homepage, the "main part" with the technical reporting from issue 1-2013 can be called up on the basis of a PDF document.
