criticism

According to Metacritic , the album has a high average rating of 80 (based on 17 reviews).

The e-zine Laut.de rated Bleeds with five out of a possible five points. In Hard Bastards , according to editor Dani Fromm, Manuva draws “ with clear words a sad picture of a youth that has been lost in the third generation. “The“ social and systemic criticism ”is introduced by“ strings and choirs that sound monastic in one moment and shamanic in the next ”. In addition to an “ expansive hook ”, “ even more darker strings and sedate, dramatic vocals ”, an “ impressive, captivating, touching piece of opening music ” is completed. In the song Crying, the “ Caribbean touch that has always resonated in Roots Manuvas raps ” comes into play. On the other hand, the soul of Don't Breathe Out providesdeceptive security. “Manuva's way of putting “ words and syllableson the microphone is similar to a“ percussion instrument ”, which is particularly evident in the songs Facety 2:11 and Stepping Hard .
