The Blue Stars participated from the 1901/02 season in the game operation of the championship. They could not achieve any major successes and always ended up behind local rivals FC St. Gallen . The last participation was in 1906/07 . The association is likely to have been dissolved around the First World War .

The Blue Stars were considered to be the top-class club in St. Gallen . There were strict admission regulations and it is said that English was spoken in the club . FC St. Gallen , which also belongs to the upper class , was considered more moderate here, while Brühl belonged to the lower class and anyone could become a member there.
