Bob McGrath
Robert Emmet "Bob" McGrath (born June 13, 1932 in Ottawa , Illinois , USA ) is an American actor, singer and author.
Career
McGrath discovered his interest in music as a child. From December 1959 he took part in the Mitch Miller Show , first as a choir member and later as a soloist. He stayed with the show until it ended in 1964. As "Bobu Magurasu" McGrath also released numerous singles and albums in Japanese and was very successful in Japan .
From 1969 to 2016, McGrath played the role of Bob Johnson on the US children's program Sesame Street ( Sesame Street ) . He has also written several children's books.

Awards
On March 3, 2006 McGrath received the "Commemorative Medal for the Centennial of Saskatchewan" for his work with the "Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan".
Private
McGrath lives with his wife in Teaneck , New Jersey . The couple have five children.
