The Lincoln Highway is a trunk road in the south of the Australian state of South Australia . It connects the Eyre Highway in Lincoln Gap , southwest of Port Augusta , along the eastern coastline of the Eyre Peninsula with the Flinders Highway in Port Lincoln . The Lincoln Highway was part of Alternative 1 of National Highway 1 in Australia.

The Lincoln Highway begins in Lincoln Gap , 16 miles southwest of Port Augusta, where it branches off the Eyre Highway (NA1) heading south. After 75 km he reaches the town of Whyalla , a center of the steel industry in South Australia.

On the further way to the southwest the Lincoln Highway passes Cowell , where the Birdseye Highway (B91) branches off to the west. The nearest settlements are the fishing towns of Arno Bay and Tumby Bay before the road reaches Port Lincoln. Port Lincoln has a large harbor that is the center of a tuna fishing fleet . The Lincoln Highway ends in Port Lincoln and continues westward on the Flinders Highway (B100).
