Bodo Schmidt (born July 9, 1965 ) is a former German soccer player . He acted as a defender .

Schmidt played in the youth of the FSC Lohfelden until 1983. In the 1983/84 season he then joined the youth department of KSV Hessen Kassel . After he was part of the senior squad from 1984 to 1986 in the Oberliga Hessen's second senior team, he was first used in the 1986/87 season in the first team playing in the second Bundesliga . In this second division round he was set up a total of 16 times. At the end of the season there was relegation. However, he remained loyal to North Hesse until the rise in 1989 and beyond, so that 29 more second division games are recorded in his mission profile for the 1989/90 season . Even after relegation he was still active in Kassel and was last in the team in 1994/95. A total of 174 league games, three league goals and six DFB Cup appearances for KSV have been booked for Schmidt.
