BodyMap

BodyMap , also Bodymap or Body Map , is the name of a British fashion designer duo consisting of Stevie Steward and David Hollah and their clothing line. The duo became known through London Fashion Week in 1984 and established themselves in the music, street fashion and club scene in London until around 1986.

Stevie Steward and David Hollah, both born in 1958, graduated from Middlesex University and came from the London club scene, where they were regulars at the Blitz Club . Mainly art students, dancers, performance artists and pop stars met here. They developed their own, modern form of the fashion show as a hybrid between performance and fashion presentation and gave them unusual names; In doing so, they developed novel concepts for the 1980s, in which they e.g. for shows like "Family" their models and their mothers selected regardless of their body shape and age. Regular guests at these events included artist friends such as Boy George , Michael Clark , Trojan and Leigh Bowery .

In addition to fancy designer fashion, the duo developed swimwear and stockings and launched B-Basic, a second line designed for young people alongside Bodymap. However, as a result of the 1986 review, they disbanded.
