Body shaping

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As bodyshaping ( engl. , Solid Modeling ') refers to a technique that the body after a predetermined beauty ideal modeled using physical exercises.

While bodybuilding, which is mostly done by men, aims at male attributes such as large muscle mass, body shaping is mainly done by women. Through targeted exercises, the muscle mass should be built up and shaped in such a way that the body has an attractive feminine shape, e.g. B. gets a round bottom. First, the outgoing body shape is analyzed. You determine where muscle mass is to be built up. This is followed by an anatomical determination of which specific muscles need to be strengthened. Finally, the necessary fitness equipment and its settings are determined. As a rule, contrary to bodybuilding, maximum strength is not trained here, as this tends to result in a strong male definition of the muscles. The exercises are stopped as soon as the body part to be modeled has reached the desired shape.

If the body is modeled by clothing, this is called shapewear .
