Alexander Sergeyevich Parfenyuk
Alexander Sergeyevich Parfenjuk ( Russian Александр Сергеевич Парфенюк * 16th May 1947 in Kostiantynivka ; † 10. August 2017 in Oleschky in Kherson ) was a professor at the Donetsk National Technical University (DonNTU) in Donetsk , Ukraine , and Dean of the Faculty of Ecology , Chemistry and process engineering . The focus of his research work was in the area of processes, machines and apparatus for coke chemistry , waste processing and other environmental technologies.
Life
Parfenyuk grew up in Konstantinovka ( Donetsk Oblast ) and attended school no. 1 there. From 1966 to 1969 he studied at the Ukrainian Polytechnic Institute in Kharkiv (USPI), Konstantinovka branch, in evening classes. From 1969 to 1972 he moved to the Donetsk Polytechnic Institute (DPI), from which he graduated with a diploma for machines and apparatus for chemical companies.
From 1972 to 1974 Parfenyuk was an engineer in charge of the student project design office at the DPI. 1974 to 1976 he was a teacher at the Donetsk Politechnikum (technical college).
From 1976 to 1979 he started as a teacher at the chair for machines and apparatus in chemical plants. From 1979 to 1981 he was an aspirant at the Moscow Institute of Chemical Engineering. There he received his doctorate as a candidate for technical sciences for machines and apparatus in chemical plants.
In 1981 Parfenyuk moved back to Donetsk, where he taught at the National Technical University. From 1987 to 2001 he was a lecturer at the university. In 2001 he was appointed full professor at the chair for machines and apparatus in chemical plants. From 2004 to 2010 he was dean of the Faculty of Ecology, Chemistry and Process Engineering. In 2010 he completed his habilitation as Dr. habil. at the National Technical University of Ukraine “KPI” . From that year he headed the newly established Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Environment and Chemical Technology ( Факультет машинобудування, екології та хімічних технологій ); since 2014 in Krasnoarmiysk .
Parfenyuk has been married since 1971 and has two children and four grandchildren.
