Lake Boeckella is a small lake at the northeastern end of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 0.5 km south of Hope Bay in the Five Lakes Valley and drains into Eagle Cove via a small stream .
The lake was discovered and named by participants in the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901–1903) led by Otto Nordenskjöld . It is named after the copepods of the genus Boeckella that can be found here .
