Boethos (gem cutter)
Boethos (Βόηθος) was a Greek gem cutter from the Hellenistic period, probably from the 2nd century BC. Chr.
He is known only by his signature on a now lost Sardonyx - Kameo with the presentation of Philoctetes , which cools his wound in the leg with a fan, formerly in the collection of the Duke of Northumberland, then collection Beverley.
