Arch in front of the Red Lion Hotel
The arch in front of the Red Lion Hotel is a Grade II listed arch in Salisbury , England .
It is located on the south side of Milford Street immediately in front of The Red Lion Hotel and spans the entrance to the hotel.
The free-standing arch, flattened at the top, was made of cast iron in 1828 and is decorated with scrollwork . On both sides at the foot of the arch there are bases with a square base.
The arch has been listed as a monument since October 12, 1972 and is listed as a building of national importance and special interest in category II of the English list of monuments .
