Companies

Along with VW , Enercon and Bünting, Bohlen & Doyen is one of the largest employers in East Frisia . With around 1,800 employees (as of 2014) at over 40 locations, the company is one of the largest service providers and plant manufacturers for energy infrastructure in Germany. The portfolio includes network connections for offshore wind farms , power-to-gas systems , underground gas and CO 2 storage systems as well as filling stations for natural gas and hydrogen.

history

In 1950 Heinrich Bohlen and Heinrich Doyen founded Bohlen & Doyen Bauunternehmung GmbH in Wiesmoor, East Frisia . The purpose of the company was the provision of construction and construction services of all kinds, in particular civil engineering, water engineering, pipeline and plant construction including the maintenance and operation of pipeline networks.

In April 2007, Bohlen & Doyen filed for insolvency proceedings with the competent Aurich district court and was shortly afterwards taken over by CTP Invest, a Czech real estate and business park operator with Dutch capital.

Bohlen & Doyen GmbH has been part of SAG Deutschland since the beginning of 2011 and forms one of the leading manufacturer-independent service and system suppliers for electricity, gas, water and telecommunication networks as well as for systems related to the generation, provision and use of energy and media .

Since it was founded, the company has operated under the name Bohlen & Doyen Bauunternehmung GmbH. Due to the energy transition, however, the business area increasingly shifted towards energy services, which is why the addition of a construction company was dropped in August 2014. From that point on, the company operated under the name Bohlen & Doyen GmbH. With the acquisition of the SAG Group by the French company SPIE in 2017, this company is now an integral part of SPIE Germany and Central Europe
