Boiler Room is a platform for broadcasting DJ sets and live music via the Internet .

history

In March 2010, the British publisher Blaise Bellville started putting weekly DJ sets for his e-zine platform on the Ustream website . The DJ could be seen, surrounded by dancing party guests. A boiler room in London served as the room . Musically it was more of the underground of electronic dance music. The sessions quickly received media attention and a number of well-known DJs were won over to the project. From 2012 the recordings were also published on YouTube and on Dailymotion , on which new recordings of parties from all over the world are now posted daily.

The majority are made up of DJ sets, but live recordings of concerts are also uploaded, mostly in the areas of jazz, world music or experimental music.
