Bois d'Indie (also: Bois d'Inde , dt. "Forest of (West) India") is a volcanic mountain on the southern tip of the island state Dominica . Bois d'Indie only reaches a height of 379 m (337 m), but is very noticeable due to its location and forms a clear end of the Grand Bay .
geography
The mountain is located on the southern tip of the island, directly on the east coast, and rises straight out of the sea. The most important settlement in the area is Berekua . The rivers Am Ba Saut Ravine (N) and Morne Pendu Ravine (S) are separated by the mountain. To the west, Hagley and other hills stretch to Soufrière Ridge .
