March is a place in the market communities of St. Oswald near Freistadt and Gutau in the Mühlviertel in Upper Austria .
The village of March is located southeast of Sankt Oswald. This part is a separate cadastral municipality and a locality of the municipality of St. Oswald and has 33 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). To the south of it is the scattered settlement March, which has 48 inhabitants , as part of the cadastral community Erdmannsdorf and the community Gutau.
After the reforms of 1848/1849 , the cadastral community of March was constituted in 1850 as an independent community. This was assigned to the Freistadt district until 1868 and then to the Freistadt district .
A total of 81 people live in both parts of March today (as of January 1, 2020).
