The Bond Point is the headland on the south coast of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located northeast of Elephant Point and together with it marks the entrance to Kavarna Cove .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the headland in 1958 after Ralph Bond, captain of the sealer Hetty from London , who headed for the South Shetland Islands between 1820 and 1821 and his compatriot George Powell (1794-1824) published descriptions and sketches for the creation of the latter in 1822 Map provided.
