Kevin Holt (born January 25, 1993 in Dumfries ) is a Scottish football player .

Career

Kevin Holt began his career in his native Dumfries with Queen of the South . While Holt was playing in the club's U-19 team, he made his debut in the professional team in September 2011. He made his debut game for the then second division side in the game against Greenock Morton when he was substituted on for Kevin Smith . In the further course of the season he was in the Doonhamers starting line-up for the first time against Partick Thistle in November 2011 . Despite relegation at the end of the season, Holt remained with his youth club. As a third division champion followed a season later, the direct promotion and the win of the Challenge Cup . Holt was able to fight for a regular position in the third division during this time, which he also retained in the higher-class division. He reached the promotion play-offs for the Scottish Premiership with the Queens in the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons , which were just lost to FC Falkirk and the Glasgow Rangers . In the summer break of 2015, Holt moved to the first division club FC Dundee . After three years in Dundee, he moved to Cyprus for Paphos FC in 2018 . A season later he returned to Scotland to his hometown club Queen of the South.
