The Boobyalla Islands comprise two small islands off the coast of the East Antarctic Enderbyland . They are 3 km northeast of Kirkby Head .
The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) named it after the long-leaved acacia ( Acacia longifolia ) native to Australia , whose Australian common name is Boobyalla .
