Bordal rock

The Bordal Rock is a reef rock on the south coast of South Georgia . It is located 2.5 km west-southwest of Trollhul Bay .

The South Georgia Survey determined its geographic position between 1951 and 1957. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named him in 958 1 after the Norwegian Harald Bordal (1909-1975), from 1948 for several years harpooner of the whaling company Compañía Argentina de Pesca in Grytviken .
