Boris Alexejewitsch Batanow ( Russian Борис Алексеевич Батанов; * July 15, 1934 in Moscow ; † June 18, 2004 ibid) was a Russian football player who acted in the attacking midfield or attack .

career

Batanov began his career as an adult footballer in 1955 at FC SKChF Sevastopol and moved to Zenit Leningrad for the game year 1958 .

Two years later he moved to Torpedo Moscow and was one of the few players who won both Soviet championship titles of the 1960s with Torpedo , which were achieved in 1960 and 1965. He was also runner-up with Torpedo in 1961 and 1964. Batanow also won the Soviet Union Football Cup once with Torpedo (1960) and reached the finals in two other cases (1961 and 1966).

During his time at Torpedo, he also completed his only international match for the national soccer team of the USSR , which (with a total of five Torpedo players) won 1-0 against Turkey on June 18, 1961 as part of the 1962 World Cup qualification .

Batanov ended his active career in 1967 in the service of Volga Gorky .
