Boris Grigoryevich Yakemenko

Boris Grigoryevich Jakemenko ( Russian Борис Григорьевич Якеменко ; born August 12, 1966 in Lyubertsy ) is a Russian politician and a member of the Russian Chamber of Commerce . He was one of the chief ideologues of the Russian pro-government Nashi movement , within the framework of which he founded an orthodox project in 2007. He announced that he would run as a presidential candidate for the 2018 elections.

Career

Yakemenko trained as a historian and lectured at the Department of Russian History at the Russian University of Friendship of Peoples in Moscow. Jakemenko has been a member of the Social Chamber since 2007. He heads the Orthodox bloc there, while his brother Vasily Jakemenko , former leader of the youth movement, has been head of the state committee for youth affairs since 2007.
