The Gemittliche Schläsinger

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Gemittliche Schläsinger (also Rübezahl calendar) is the home yearbook for the province of Silesia . The numerous articles in each issue deal with all facets of life in Silesian.

history

The Gemittliche Schläsinger was founded in 1882 by Max Heinzel . Since it was published by Ludwig-Heege-Verlag , the calendar is viewed as a joint creation by Max Heinzel and Oskar Güntzel . The calendar is a yearbook of poetry and folk life. The calendar published by Heege was the reason that Schweidnitz and his publishing house became the center for Silesian dialect . The names of those responsible for the publication should be mentioned: Philo vom Walde , Paul Keller , Robert Sabel , Hermann Bauch and Ernst Schenke . 1942 had to be put to an end, but in 1981 Der gemittliche Schläsinger was re-established in Reutlingen by Schlesierverlag L. Heege.

From the year 1937, the series was part of the list of literature to be sorted out by the Ministry for National Education of the German Democratic Republic.

The long history of "Der Gemittliche Schläsinger" ended with the publication of the 2005 vintage.
