Boris Lukanov
Boris Lukanow Zonew ( Bulgarian Борис Луканов Цонев ; born June 15, 1936 in Lovech , Bulgaria ) is a Bulgarian actor .
Life
Boris Lukanov was already at school and amateur theater before he finished his acting studies at the National Academy for Theater and Film Arts "Krastjo Sarafow" with Stefan Surchadzhiev in 1959. He then worked at the Varna Theater from 1960 to 1961, at the Dobrich Theater from 1961 to 1982 and from 1982 at the Ivan Vazov National Theater. Since 2000 he has worked as a freelance actor at the Sofia Theater.
Parallel to his theater engagement, Lukanow starred in almost 50 feature films from 1963. In addition to Bulgarian productions such as The Most Beautiful Woman of Tirnovo , My Friend, the Pirate and Shore in the Fog , he was also seen in the French period film Vercingétorix - Fight against Rome in 2001 and in the Italian television film Papa Giovanni - Ioannes XXIII in 2002 .
