Boris Spiridonowitsch Stomonjakow
Boris Spiridonowitsch Stomonjakow ( Russian Борис Спиридонович Стомоняков ; * June 1882 in Odessa ; † October 16, 1940 in Moscow ) was a Soviet diplomat of Bulgarian origin.
Stomonjakow was from 1921 to 1924 director of the Soviet trade delegation in Berlin , 1925 member of the College of the People's Commissariat for Foreign Affairs. In 1926 he became Deputy People's Commissar for Foreign Trade and in 1927 Director of the Poland and Baltic States Department . From 1927 to 1937 he worked as a deputy people's commissar and a member of the people's commissariat for foreign affairs. In 1928 he was the authorized delegate for German-Soviet economic negotiations.
At the end of 1938 Boris Stomonjakow was arrested in the course of the Stalinist purges, sentenced to death in 1940 and shot.
