publication

The single was pre-released on October 18th through her YouTube account. In addition to the concerts and fan meetings, Epik High also played the song at several award ceremonies and year-end shows. For example at the Mnet Asian Music Awards 2014, where Epik High won the award for the best rap performance for the fifth time. Mino, BI and Bobby were also on stage.

composition

The album is about the group's struggles for survival in recent years. The lyrics to Born Hater became so-called "Internet Haters" through the thoughts of the band. The band member Tablo in particular expresses himself in the song about the persecution on the net by the group "TaJinYo", a group of anonymous Internet users who pursue a kind of witchcraft on what they call Tablo's falsified academic career. They accuse him of lying about his degrees from Stanford University . In three and a half years he did his bachelor's and master's degree in English and creative writing . The university has documents to confirm this. This incident left the group with a production break of almost two years.
