Borrighauser Mill

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Borrighauser Mühle was a mill on the Eifgenbach in Burscheid .

Until its demise it lay south of the district of Bellinghausen (formerly called Borrighausen), west of Markusmühle and north of Luchtenberg . It probably went under in the 19th century.

In the burger stock book of 1692 it says for the year 1659:

Henrich Zu Borighausen has received a powdered dump of eight stamped Zu erbawen most gracious concession on the Eiffische Bach under the Lammerbusch, from which he pays one Reichstaler annually on May 1st .
(Lamerbusch is the name given to the wooded mountain bordering the valley near Luchtenberg to the north and the estate there.)

For the year 1692 it says in the same inventory book:

Cluß Pullvermacher on the Kalterherbergen has on his property but on the Altenberger Fischerey near the Eiffische Bache bought a Pullvermuller, from which the same annual termino Martini in the local waiter's shop promised to pay a nutshell, which is now missing from his own possessor Mewiss Leysendahl and (name) will .

A powder mill south of Eshusen (Eschhausen) is entered on the map of Ploennies 1715 between am Hamer ( Bökershammer ) and Herzogsweide and Markusmühle.

In 1749, Burg's official accounts also state:

... built by the powder mill so Henrich zu Borrichhausen am Eifgenbach has been giving a Reichstaler since 1660 .
