Boschidar Antonow Sdrawkow (also written Bozhidar Antonov Zdravkov , Bulgarian Божидар Антонов Здравков ; born January 30, 1884 in Pirot , Serbia , †  September 25, 1959 in Plovdiv , Bulgaria ) was a Bulgarian politician and mayor of the second largest Bulgarian city Plovdiv.

Life

Boschidar Sdrawkow was born in 1884 in the city ​​of Pirot, which belonged to Serbia after the Berlin Congress (1878). A Bulgarian minority still lives in the Pirot region and in south-east Serbia in general . After the Serbian-Bulgarian War of 1885, his family emigrated to the neighboring Kingdom of Bulgaria . Between 1905 and 1907 studied Sdrawkow at the Sofia University Law . After the university was closed in 1907, Sdrawkow moved to Zagreb , where he continued his studies and successfully graduated in 1909. He then returned to Bulgaria, where he worked as a judge in Yambol and Sliven . From 1914 he lived and worked in Plovdiv.

Boschidar Sdrawkow was two three-year terms (from 1932 to 1939) mayor of Plovdiv. As mayor, he promoted and established the Plovdiv International Fair . A number of public projects have also been carried out under his leadership.

Sdrawkow died on September 25, 1959 in Plovdiv.
