Bad Schandau Botanical Garden

The Bad Schandau Botanical Garden is a botanical garden on Kirnitzschtalstraße in the urban area of Bad Schandau , Saxony , which was created on the left slope of the Kirnitzsch valley . The area was created in 1902.

The aim of the garden is to show the typical plant communities of Saxon Switzerland and the adjacent areas of Lusatia, the Ore Mountains , the Elbe Hills and Bohemia. Furthermore, the flora from similar, damp and cool climates of the global temperate zones in Northern Europe and Asia is presented.

A plaque commemorates the doctor Friedrich Theile (1814–1899).

The garden is open from March to October.
