Botein (from Arabic بطين, DMG buṭain  'small belly') is the proper name of the star Delta Arietis (δ Arietis, δ Ari for short) in the constellation Aries . Botein belongs to the spectral class K2 and has a brightness of +4.35 mag. Botein is about 168 light years from Earth (according to the Hipparcos database).

As a star near the ecliptic, Botein can be covered by the moon and (very rarely) by planets.
