Boucaut

The boucaut was a French measure of volume and weight in Martinique . As a commercial weight, the measure was based on the weight mark.

  • 1 boucaut = 10 quintaux = 1000 pfennig mark weight / poids de mare

As a volume measure, it was intended for liquids.

  • 1 boucaut = 397.447 liters (105 gallons)
  • Rum 1 boucaut = 431,514 liters (114 gallons)
