The Boulevard du Théâtre is a 100 meter short section of street in Chambéry in eastern France in the Savoie department . It runs in a north-west-south-east direction and is bordered in the north by the elephant fountain and in the south by the rear of the theater. In the middle there are two rows of plane trees . Behind the striking fountain, the street continues under the name Boulevard de la Colonne in about twice its length to Rue Saint-Antoine , where it turns into Avenue des Duc de Savoie . Both streets mark the site of the former city wall and are now the only two in the city center that have tree plantations in their midst. Rue de Boigne branches off at the elephant fountain and leads centrally through the old town to the castle.

At its southern end is the Musée Savoie and opposite the Lycee Professionnel Privé Sainte Geneviève . The L'Astrée cinema has been located on the south side since 1940 , otherwise commercial buildings are predominant. On the north side, banks and insurance companies are dominant. With a one-way system, the street can be used by individual traffic, but with 90 minutes it is in the red zone with the shortest parking time in the city.
