Boutteville is a noble family from Lorraine , enrolled in the Bavarian baron class, which has expired in the male line.

history

The wealthy noble family, who once lived in Lorraine, came to Bavaria around 1790 as a result of the first French Revolution . On November 6, 1842, Edmund von Boutteville was raised to the baron status by King Ludwig I of Bavaria . A year later, the aforementioned acquired Mering Castle , on the east gate of which is the coat of arms of the baronial family. In 1939 Baron Theodor von Boutteville died childless. Then his property passed to his sister Maria Alfonsine and her husband Max Edler von Grauvogl .

A black rafter in silver. This is occupied by two black stars at the top and a black boar's head at the bottom. On the shield, which is held by two muscular men with clubs, the baron's crown sits enthroned in gold.
