The second generation of the Bova Futura coach is being built by the Dutch bus manufacturer VDL Bova .

Technical specifications
All buses in the Futura series are powered by a 4-stroke DAF diesel engine with an output of up to 435 hp . All buses have a displacement of 9.2 liters , produce 361 hp and comply with the Euro 4 standard . A Euro 5 engine is also available as an option. In addition, all buses are fitted with a standard speed limiter that regulates at 100 km / h .
Versions
Bova-Futura buses are available in the versions FHD ("futura high deck") and FLD ("futura low deck"), which differ in their height, with "FHD" denoting the higher buses. Depending on the model, the length is given in decimeters and the engine power in hp. The smallest bus is the Futura FLD 104-365, which can transport 36 to 41 people. The largest model is the FHD 150-460, which can accommodate up to 69 people depending on the seating. The revised further development Futura 2 has been offered since 2010 . The previous model is still being sold as a Classic . It has been sold over 8,000 times.

At the IAA 2010 the model VDL Futura was presented, in which the brand name Bova is completely dispensed with. It replaces both the Bova Futura and the Bova Magiq. It is offered in the versions FMD2 and FHD2. The VDL Futura was named Coach of the Year in 2012. In 2016, the Futura series was expanded to include a double-decker bus with the VDL Futura FDD2.
