City bus Bova X-Press

At the end of the 1970s, Bova developed a bus service with the support of the Dutch Ministry of Economics ( Ministerie van Economische Zaken ) in cooperation with the Eindhoven University of Technology . This was equipped with a 194 HP diesel engine from DAF , which was housed under the floor in the rear and thus enabled a low floor for the time of 540 mm above the road surface between the doors. A double-leaf, 1200 mm wide inner swing door was placed in the front and in the middle. The X-press had 43 seats and 40 standing places. The bus was presented on January 23, 1980. Only the transport company OAD in Holten ordered 16 copies.

present

At the IAA 2010, VDL presented the VDL Futura model, in which the Bova brand name has been completely dispensed with. It replaces both the Bova Futura and the Magiq.
