Bräuningshof is a district of Langensendelbach in the Upper Franconian district of Forchheim . It lies between the cities of Erlangen and Forchheim . In the formerly rural town, most of the residents in Erlangen go to work today.

The place name Bräuningshof was first mentioned in 1158 with Bruningeshoven . It is traced back to the family name “Bräuning” or “Bruning”, which was common in Franconia at the time .
