Bridge Prize of the City of Regensburg
The City of Regensburg donated the Bridging Prize of the City of Regensburg in 1995 on the occasion of the 750th anniversary of the city's freedom . It is awarded to personalities of supraregional importance who "bridge particularly traditional borders or opposites of a political, national, scientific, social, cultural or religious nature" (according to the statutes).
The award, which is awarded at irregular intervals, is endowed with 15,000 euros. A bronze statue of the bridge saint Nepomuk is presented with the certificate .
