Vapor condenser
The vapor condenser is a process engineering apparatus in which the vapors are condensed and the non- condensable gases are removed. Application examples are the condensers used in thermal separation technology in multi-stage distillation in columns at the top .
The condensation of the vapor is brought about by dissipating heat. The non-condensable gas must be discharged via a valve or, if the process takes place under negative pressure, must be extracted by means of a vacuum pump .
Types
- Countercurrent mixing condenser
- Direct current mixing capacitor
