The Brühler Kunstverein eV is a non-profit association of art lovers, artists and art connoisseurs in Brühl (Rhineland) and has existed since 1972. One of its basic tasks and goals is the presentation, communication and promotion of contemporary art in its various forms. The association was founded in 1972 as a registered association . The exhibition rooms were then located in the so-called “Villa Minima” on Kempishofstrasse in Brühl . At the beginning of the 1990s the exhibition had to be interrupted for some time because this house was being restored.

After the restoration was completed, the "Museum of Everyday History" moved into the rooms. From 1996 exhibitions could be held again, with works by well-known artists such as Felix Droese , Alfred Hrdlicka , Volker Saul , Gustav Kluge, Suse Wiegandt, Martin Noël and Thomas Müller .

In 2002 the association found a new home. Thanks to the initiative of the Marien Hospital in Brühl, the restored "Old Locksmith's Shop of the Marien Hospital" is available to him. This enabled exhibition activity to be intensified and additional events to be held.

The association is a member of the working group of German art associations .
