Brackish water aquarium
A brackish water aquarium , also known as a brackish water tank , is a special type of aquarium . This is where living conditions are created, such as those that prevail in the estuaries of rivers or mangrove swamps . Fresh water and sea water mix here to form brackish water . Accordingly, the density in the brackish water aquarium is 1.002 to 1.020 higher than that of a fresh water aquarium , but below that of a sea water aquarium .
The salt content in the brackish water aquarium does not necessarily have to be kept constant. Even in natural locations, the conditions change due to the influence of the tides . It is more important that the change does not happen too quickly.
