Bradley Gregg (born November 8, 1966 in Hollywood , California ) is an American actor .

life and career

Bradley Gregg has been in front of the camera in over 40 film and television productions since the mid-1980s. He was best known for the 1986 film Stand by Me , in which he played a supporting role as a youthful gang member and older brother of River Phoenix 'character. The following year he fell victim to Freddy Krueger in the role of the doll maker Philip in Nightmare III . After Explorers - A Fantastic Adventure and Stand By Me , he was in front of the camera for a third time with River Phoenix in 1989 with Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade . While the two fight each other in this movie, they were close friends in real life. In 1993 he took on a larger role in the science fiction film Fire in Heaven , a year later he starred with Leonardo DiCaprio in the short film The Foot Shooting Party .

The actor has been married to Dawn A. Gregg since 1990 and the couple have five children. Because Gregg wanted to take care of his wife and children more and to devote himself to the Christian faith, he withdrew from Hollywood in the late 1990s. For the next 15 years he lived with his family in Arizona , where he was committed to the Christian faith and also founded his own film production company Eventide Fields . In roles as producer, writer and director he was involved in the documentaries 14 Days in America and Journey to Jemima . The family returned to Los Angeles in the early 2010s, where he has since taken roles in several less-noticed film productions.
