Bradytroph

Bradytroph means with slow metabolism . Bradytrophic tissues are mainly supplied by diffusion from the surrounding fluid and have few or no capillaries .

Examples of bradytrophic tissue are cartilage , the lens of the eye and cornea , heart valves or the inner wall parts of larger vessels.
