Call of the Brahma Owl

The Brahma Owl is a common inhabitant of open habitats, including open wooded areas, farmland, and human settlements at altitudes up to 1400 m above sea level. It is nocturnal, but you can sometimes watch it during the day. Smaller birds that spot him will often attack him while he is crouching in a tree. It hunts a wide variety of insects and small vertebrates. His reputation is a rough chirurr-chirurr-chirurr . It breeds in tree hollows and the clutch consists of three to five eggs.
