The Stolz GmbH & Co. KG brewery is a private brewery founded in 1919 in Isny im Allgäu in the Ravensburg district .

history

Of the former 14 breweries in Isny, which were located in the 14 Isny ​​inns, Bären, Blume, Dreikönig, Engel, Zumgrün Baum, Hirsch, Krone, Lamm, Ochsen, Rößle, Schwanen, Schwarzer Adler, Strauss and Wilden Mann , only exist today nor the brewery pride. The penultimate pub with brewery was the Wilde Mann until 1921. The 15th brewery with a certain special position was the Gräfl. Quadt-Isny'sche Brewery (castle brewery), which has also ceased operations.

In 1919 Johann Stolz and Heinrich Schmidt acquired the former Engel brewery from the Ochsengesellschaft in what is now the Engel brewery inn. In 1949 the brewery came into the sole ownership of the Stolz family, who still operate it today under the leadership of the brothers Josef and Hans Stolz. The beer is made from Tettnang hops, Upper Swabian brewing barley , yeast and Isny ​​water in accordance with the purity law of 1516 .

The brewery's product range includes seven different types of beer and three seasonal beers. The seasonal beers are Josefsbier , vintage beer and Christmas beer . The Josefsbier, now called Märzenbier , was brewed until 2014 on the occasion of the holiday of St. Joseph on March 19th.

Another mainstay of Stolz is the production and sale of eleven lemonades .
