The Breached Cone ( English for pierced cone ) is a volcanic cone on the Antarctic Ross Island . Not far from Hut Point, it rises inland from Castle Rock .
The Australian geologist Frank Debenham , participant in the Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913) of the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott , named him descriptively in the course of surveying work he undertook in 1912 in this area.
