Breakeven is a rock song of the Irish pop rock band The Script from 2008. The song was a single from her debut album The Script released. It is about a couple's reactions after their separation.

The music video premiered on Monday, September 29th, 2008. It shows excerpts from Dublin City , Ireland , the hometown of the band. In the video the band shows their song on stage.

Breakeven peaked at number ten in Ireland and became Script's third top 10 hit in Ireland after We Cry and The Man Who Can't Be Moved . On January 4, 2009, the single debuted at number 21 in the UK singles charts . This was also the highest ranking. In Australia , Breakeven reached number three on the ARIA charts and a double platinum award . Breakeven debuted at number 96 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached number twelve after a few weeks. In the United States, the single was also awarded double platinum.
