Brake dust

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Brake dust is created by the wear and tear on the brake lining and the brake disc from braking. The resulting brake dust consists largely of fine dust , which is harmful to health and polluting the environment due to its small particle size and chemical composition (high proportion of different metals such as iron , copper , antimony , tin , molybdenum ). It contributes significantly to particulate matter pollution from road traffic.
