Brenninckhof
The Brenninckhof , also Brenninkhof , is a historic building at Ibbenbürener Straße 149 in Wiehe, a farming community in Mettingen in the Steinfurt district ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
History and architecture
The facility is located on both sides of the L 796 in the direction of Laggenbeck . There are two residential and commercial buildings in a former courtyard. The stately main building is a longitudinally open two-column building . It was built in the 18th century.
The associated Heuerhaus is also a two-column construction, it was probably built in 1541. A comprehensive renovation was carried out in 1968 and the house was moved ( relocated ) twelve meters . The hipped roof on the south side is drawn down far over the front tubs. The bakery was examined dendrochronologically and the year of construction was set to 1796.
The complex is considered the original courtyard of the Brenninkmeyer family . It was first mentioned in connection with the family in the 17th century, namely as a fief of the Orange in Lingen , awarded to a Johann toe Twee called Brenninkmeyer then Brenninckhove. After severe damage to the mountains , the house was bought by the DSK Anthrazith Ibbenbüren together with a neighboring inn, and it is to be renovated.
